Pontifical is a mixture of black and gold glazed gum granules. Aroma-wise, Pontifical is a classic combination of rich and high-quality types of sweet incense. The fragrance is deep refined with sweet and light tones

Pontifical incense consists of three types of gum granules: Olibanum, Myrrh and Gum Benjoin. These granules are obtained from different gum trees, in particular the African Boswellia Papyrifera and Commiphora Myrra and the Asian Styrax Benzoin. The granules have been washed in perfume oils and coloured with pigments that are all EU-approved.

The Pontifical blend is an incense meant to be used in rituals or meditational purposes. Burning incense is a rich sensory experience and it should burn on charcoal tabs specifically designed for incense burning.

Three steps to burning incense:

Place the charcoal tab in the incense burner and hold the flame to the charcoal tab. When the tablet ignites, sparkles will be transverted through the whole charcoal tab.

A grey and ashy soot will cover the red-hot glowing tablet indicating it is ready to use.Spread the natural resins on top of the charcoal tab by using a small spoon. Soon you are enjoying the exotic fragrance released by the natural resins.

After use, make sure you immerse the remains of the charcoal tab in water.

It’s advisable to keep charcoal tabs out of reach from children.
